Travel Alerts

Traveling abroad, or across the country, is often a very exciting time. You get to see new places and new things, and it can be a once in a lifetime experience. That’s why it’s important to make sure your plastic cards are set up with travel alerts prior to your trip.

Card issuers will block a card if they think fraudulent activity is taking place. That’s why it’s important to set travel alerts before an international trip. If a transaction from a foreign country appears on your card, it can be viewed as fraud and the card can be deactivated. This can be avoided by contacting us prior to the trip and placing a travel alert on your cards.

Alerts can be set up to avoid the hassle of having your charges declined while traveling.

To set up a Travel Alert:

  1. Log into your online banking
  2. Select “Visa Account Access” under the “Additional Services” menu.
  3. Select “Travel Center” from the “Account Services” menu.
  4. Enter your card’s CVV Code and select “Continue.”

Alternatively, you can visit a branch or call us at 800-321-8570 for identification verification and to request a travel alert be placed on your card(s). Please have your member number and card(s) available when reaching out.
